Pfc. Dale Burnell, 2nd Communications squadron, Godman Field, Ky., is here visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Burnell, and his aunt, Mrs. Charles Alger, and husband.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the March 8, 1945, issue (page 5, column 3):
Cpl. and Mrs.Dale Burnell returned to his station at Dalhart, Texas, Friday, after visiting their parents at Maywood, Ill., and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Burnell and aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Alger, at Belshaw.
The following September 6, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 3:
Aviation Chief Machinist's Mate Ralph Burnell and wife, of Maywood, and Cpl. Dale Burnell, stationed at Ardmore, Okla., spent a few days visiting the W.J. Burnells and C.F. Algers.
This February 28, 1952, Lowel Tribune article was found on page 5, column 5:
House guests at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Alger and Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Burnell Saturday and Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Burnell and children, Mary, Ruth, Lila, Earl and Oral of Fairbanks, Alaska. Dale has recently been released from the U.S. Army Air Corps at Fairbanks. He is the Senior Burnells' grandson and Mrs. Alger's nephew. They plan to return to Alaska where they will reside on the farm they have purchased. Other guests visiting from Friday until Monday were Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Conklin and daughter, Debbie, of Waterloo, Iowa.
