Death of Herman Zanders
The death of Herman Zanders occurred at his home on Grant street on Sunday evening, following a prolonged illness with cancer of the stomach. Deceased was aged 58 years last February, and is survived by his wife, one son, Emil, and four daughters, Mrs. Guy Kelsey, Mrs. August Patz, Mrs. Carl Steuer, Mrs. Julius Hooley. Mr. Zanders had been a resident of Crown Point but a few years, having moved here from his farm southeast of town. He leaves to mourn him a large circle of friends, and of him it can well be said that he had no enemies. The funeral services occur Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church, with the pastor, Rev. August Biester, having charge. -- Crown Point Register.
