The following Apr. 27, 1901, Lowell Souvenir article was found on page 10, column 2:
John B. Wilkinson left Monday evening for Portland, Oregon, where he joins his sons. He is one of the old settlers of Lake county, well and favorably known. He has taken good care of his health; he is well preserved and looks not a day older than when he used to drive the stage coach before the days of the railroads.
