MRS. A. VON BORSTEL OF EDGEWATER RESORT DIES AT CEDAR LAKE

Mrs. Adolph (Augusta) Von Borstel, 59, co-owner and operator of the Edgewater Beach Resort at Cedar Lake for the past 31 years, died Saturday, July 21, at Mercy hospital, Gary. She was well known over southern Lake County.

The Von Borstels spent the winter seasons at Pompona Beach, Florida, where the late Ben Lynch of Lowell was also a winter resident.

Surviving besides her husband, Adolph, are two brothers, Stephen and John Werlik, both of Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Ann Hervug of Herbster, Wis.

Memorial services were held in the Linton and McColly Funeral Home in Crown Point at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Jasper Cox officiating. Cremation was in Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago.
