The following article was found in the August 17, 1872, Lowell Star under "Items from Crown Point"
(page 5, column 2):
Last week while Mr. Troilson was at work in Mr. Abram's sand pit, near Search & Coneway's Tannery, the dirt caved in upon him, knocking him down and covering him up. When unearthed, about five minutes afterward, he was past breathing, but on reaching the air soon came back to life and breath, and is now out again, doing well, with a collar bone broken in two places.
