Fred L. Sunderman was born near Lowell, Indiana, April 9, 1866, and died at the Weslyan Hospital, Wichita, June 18, 1924, aged 58 years, 2 months and 9 days.
He was united in marriage to Angeline Fleming, May 12, 1898. To this union was born three children, one daughter and two sons.
In early life, he united with the Methodist church and at the time of his death was one of the trustees of the Methodist church at Fairview.
He spent nearly forty years of his life in Indiana within two miles of his birthplace, removing to Oregon for the benefit of his health, after a fourth successful operation for tuberculosis of the bone.
He, with his family, came to Fairview in March 1909, since which time he has resided on his farm, one mile west of town.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and three children: Mrs. Ruth Smith, Charles and Ralph Sunderman and two grandchildren, Lyle and Virginia Smith. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by two brothers and two sisters, all living in Oregon.
Mr. Sunderman was a good neighbor, a kind friend in time of need, a hard worker and too late, went to the hospital for help for stomach trouble. He will be missed in his church and especially to his two sons just growing to manhood for whom he sacrificed to send away to school.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church, last Friday, by Rev. Alden, of Waukomis, a former pastor here, and burial made in Fairview cemetery. -- Fairview (Okla.) Republican, June 27.
Fred had many friends here at his old home who will regret to hear of his death.
