The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated Oct. 14, 1903, was in a collection owned by Lowell Town Historian Richard Schmal:
Married at High Noon
Mr. Frank Robinson, a popular young school teacher, and Miss Ina Klein, one of Lowell's highly esteemed young ladies, were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Klein, Wednesday at noon, Elder John Bruce performing the ceremony. The wedding was a quiet affair, only the families of the contracting parties and a few immediate friends being present. Miss June Klein played the wedding march on the occasion. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served. The newly wedded couple took their departure for Chicago on the 4:15 train, and got on the train amid a shower of rice from their multitude of friends, and a pair of baby shoes pinned on the groom's shoulder. They will go to housekeeping on Halsted street. A large number of their friends got together Monday and went to the hardware store and selected a number of pieces of granite ware, and then went to the bride-to-be's home and presented them to her. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robinson wish them much happiness in their marriage.
