Cornelius Raymond Gravenstuk (1916-1921)

Cornelius Raymond, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gravenstuk, was born near Shelby, April 22, 1916, and departed this life May 31, 1921, aged 5 years, 1 month, 8 days. He was a loving child and loved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn their loss, father, mother, two brothers -- Mahlon and Richard Jr., two sisters -- Mary and Hattie, grandparents -- Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Long, and other relatives and a host of friends.

A loving one from us is gone,
Which leaves a vacant chair;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

God has his ways of grace,
Ways that we cannot tell,
He hides them deep
In the hidden sleep of him we loved so well.
