The following November 2, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5 column 3:
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Petry of Bloomington, October 20th. The little one's grandmother, Mrs. Franklin Petry, Sr., is at her son's home caring for the household while her daughter-in-law is in the hospital.
