In earlier years he worked as a carpenter to Tatman, Lowell contractor.
Ed was born in Lowell April 2, 1886, the son of George and Mary Adeline (Lawrence) Peterson. He was married to Anna Lillian Larson of Shelby. They lived in Shelby for more than forty years.
He was a member of the Shelby Church of Christ and past master of the Lowell Masonic lodge, Colfax 378, F. & A.M.
Survivors include his wife, Anna of Shelby, a son Frank of Valparaiso, and a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Moyer of Dearborn, Mich.; five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bennett of Crown Point and Mrs. Bessie Bisig of Greenwood, Ill.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 5, in the Sheets Funeral Home with Rev. E.L. Worley, pastor of the Shelby Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell cemetery.
