The following September 27, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 4:
Ilabel Vinnedge of Gary, and Cpl. and Lt. C.J. O'Neill are spending this week at the home of their grandfather, O.G. Vinnedge. Both of the O'Neills will be discharged from the army within a few weeks.
