She leaves one brother, William, of Lowell, and six nephews and nieces to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held at the Sheets funeral home yesterday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. Henry M. Braun, of the Methodist church, of which she was a member. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery.
After the death of her father, she was Post Mistress for two years, filling his unexpired second term very capably. She then accepted a position in the Lowell National Bank, which she filled for 30 years, until her health failed and she was obliged to rest. She loved all flowers and birds, and one of her greatest enjoyments was working in her own lovely flower garden.
She held membership in the Lowell Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. of the Church, Pythian Sisters, Past Chiefs, Eastern Star, Past Matrons, Garden Club and the Daughters of American Revolution. She is survived by one brother, William H. Nichols, six nieces and nephews, Virgil L. Nichols, Byrl C. Grant, Marion I. Sellberg, Eleanor I. Meadows, Catherine B. Talbot and Gracia Belle Goings. Also four great nieces and nephews, Rosemary and Donald Meadows, Robert and David Grant, and two great great nephews, Tommy and Micheal Grant.
Mamie, the name everyone lovingly knew her by, was of a sweet generous and kind disposition and will be sadly missed by her entire family and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Sheets Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry M. Braun officiating. Miss Thelma Hill at the piano and Mrs. Grace McCarty, singing, rendered very beautiful music. The pallbearers were Virgil Nichols, Thomas Meadows, Edward Sellberg, Robert Grant, Chester Talbott and George Foster. Burial was in the family lot in the Lowell cemetery in charge of K.A. Sheets.
