The following July 6, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 2:
Edward H. McMann of Schneider and Miss Evelyn Castle, of Merrillville, were united in marriage at Kentland, June 24th. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tichacek at Schneider, following the wedding.
