In July 1909, he was married to Miss Josphine Nellins, Rochester, Indiana. She departed this life several years ago. In June 1921 he was married to Mrs. Vessie J. Einspahr of Lowell, Indiana. They resided in Hammond since their marriage. He took ill Oct. 21 with pneumonia, with which he was very sick from the first. He passed away October 28th at the age of 41 years, 2 months and 1 day.
He leaves to survive him, his wife and foster daughter, of Hammond, an aged father, 3 brothers, Henry, William and Fred Ludeman, all of Napoleon, Ohio, and a host of friends. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a true friend. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, of Hammond Lodge 210.
Funeral services were held in Lowell Christian church Friday at 10:30 A.M., Rev. Nickerson, pastor of the church, conducting the service. Interment in Lowell cemetery.
The following from out of town attended the funeral: Henry Ludeman, Sr., Henry Ludeman, Jr. and wife, Will Ludeman and wife, of Napoleon, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Shearer and A.J. Swanson of Hammond. About 15 members of the K. of P. lodge in Hammond were in attendance.
