Mr. Leary operated the Texaco station located on the Cedar Lake - Crown Point road. Clark came to Lowell in 1905 from Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Tremper, and two children, Mrs. Carl (Blanche) Turner of North Judson and George Leary of Lowell; also two grandsons, Norman and John Turner and four great-grandchildren; besides two brothers, two sisters and a host of area friends.
Rev. E.L. Worley will officiate at memorial services which will be held Saturday, May 22, at 2 p.m. in the Weaver funeral home. Interment will be in the Lowell cemetery.
Despite recent ill health, he had continued operation of his service station on the Crown Point-Lowell road.
Surviving with his wife, Margaret, are a son George, of Lowell; a daughter, Mrs. Carl Turner of North Judson; and two grandsons, Tech. Sgt. Arnold Turner of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Dr. Dale Turner of Bristol, Connecticut. Two brothers and a sister also survive. They are William Leary of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ben of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Robert Sharkey of Graetinger, Iowa,
Burial will be made in Lowell cemetery.
