The following article was found in the January 27, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 3:
Mrs. Maggie Laybourn, who is now staying with her daughter at Sheridan, Wyo., writes that she celebrated her 88th birthday on January 16th, and that she is enjoying very good health, even being able to help her daughter with a little of the housework. She sent her regards to her many friends here at her former home.
