She was united in marriage to Phriend King, February 6, 1866, and they became the parents of one son, Robert Clyde King, who survives her.
In early girlhood she united with the Church of Christ at Sherburnville, Ill., and after her return, from the west where she and her husband spent several years, she united by letter with the congregation at Lowell, which place was her church home at the time of her death.
Besides Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clyde King, there are two granddaughters, Mrs. Helen Weaver, and Mrs. Juanita Atkinson, and three great-grand-children, John King Weaver, Phyllis Ann and Robert Ward Atkinson, who are of the immediate family.
Her long years of residence in Lowell have gained for her many true friends, both in and out of the church, and they, together with the family, mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Sunday at 2 p.m. J.E. Poer conducted the services. Mrs. Grace McCarty rendered several selections on the piano. Interment was made beside her husband in Pine Grove cemetery in charge of Sheets and Son.
