ROBERT HIATT FOUND DEAD IN BED LAST MONDAY MORNING
Robert Hiatt, who has been working in this vicinity for several years, and who for some time has been working for Cass Cross, near Shelby, was found dead in bed at the Cross home Monday morning. He had been in his usual health and on Sunday night he sat and read quite late before retiring. When they went to call him on Monday morning they found him dead, he having passed away sometime during the night. The cause of his death was heart failure. He was past 73 years of age.
He came here from Hamilton county several years ago and has been working for different people in this section since that time. He was a man who had the respect of all who knew him.
His brother and sister of Hamilton county are here looking after the funeral arrangements. His remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of Weaver and Son, where they were prepared for burial. A short funeral service will be held today, and interment will be made in Lowell cemetery. Undertakers Weaver and Son will have charge of the burial service.
