Other appointments made include Mrs. Blanche Carl, Crown Point, who has served eight years; Etta Kisela to Hobart's, Adolph Penning to Griffith's and Iva Benson to the Hammond bureau. Gary's three license bureaus are managed by Luther Moore, Margaret Combs, and Marie Miller.
1957 license plates will go on sale here January 2.
The bureau will be closed December 21 and January 1, in observance of the New Year's holiday.
Mr. Hein, manager of the Lowell license branch, is an established realtor here. His salesman is Dewey Childress. Mr. Charles, for the past seven years, has had the south county Hammond Times distributorship. His son, Gerald Charles, who was associated with him in distributing papers, will be a salesman for the Hein-Charles Company, and also will sell Chevrolets at the Cullen Chevrolet agency. John Leathers of Cedar Lake will complete the real estate sales staff.
Robert Henke, of 925 Kankakee Ave., will take over Jerry's Times route on January 26, and Mr. Charles will sever his relations with the Times as soon as another distributor is obtained.
