The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
Married, at the home of the bride's parents Sunday September 9, Mr. Ed. Haskell to Miss May Stowell. The imposing feature of this occasion is that the young couple were hooked together under the stars and stripes of our country. There were sixty-five friends that witnessed the impressing ceremony among which there were four old veterans, seven sons of veterans and four daughters of veterans. The young couple start out on the matrimony route with the best wishes of all their friends.
