James F. Fox

With the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea -- Pvt. James F. Fox, whose wife, Virginia, lives on route 1, Crown Point, is serving with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond V. Fox, also live on route 1. Crown Point.

The division was one of the first to fight in Korea and gained fame last fall by its conquest of "Heartbreak" and "Bloody" Ridges.

Private Fox, a rifleman in the division, was stationed at Fort Riley, Kan., before his assignment overseas.

He was a former student at Lowell high school.

Awarded Combat Badge

With the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea -- The Combat Infantryman Badge for excellent performance of duty under enemy fire in Korea recently was awarded to Pvt. James F. Fox, whose wife, Virginia, lives on route 1, Fronek Road, Crown Point.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond V. Fox, live at the Crown Point address.

He is a member of the 2nd Infantry Division, which gained fame in two of the hardest fought battles of the Korean War. It captured "Heartbreak Ridge" in October of 1951 and took "Old Baldy Hill" this summer.

Private Fox, a rifleman with the division, entered the Army in December 1951 and joined the 2nd last June.
