The division was one of the first to fight in Korea and gained fame last fall by its conquest of "Heartbreak" and "Bloody" Ridges.
Private Fox, a rifleman in the division, was stationed at Fort Riley, Kan., before his assignment overseas.
He was a former student at Lowell high school.

He is a member of the 2nd Infantry Division, which gained fame in two of the hardest fought battles of the Korean War. It captured "Heartbreak Ridge" in October of 1951 and took "Old Baldy Hill" this summer.
Private Fox, a rifleman with the division, entered the Army in December 1951 and joined the 2nd last June.
