She was baptized into the name of Christ at Montrose, S.D. in 1892, by Rev. Gallagher, of the Church of Christ there. On January 24, 1896, she transferred her membership to the Lowell church of Christ. Rev. B.L. Allen was at that time the local pastor. She has ever been a faithful consistent member and nothing good can be said of her that is underserved. Her Christian faith was strong and her devotion and loyalty to the church unquestioned.
She has been a sufferer all her life and more so during the last three years, but she bore up patiently and cheerfully through it all. Her last and fatal illness began in February 1924, yet she ever entertained hopes for her recovery. We shall miss our sister, and friend.
The funeral services at the home and Church of Christ were in charge of Rev. Fred Gibson and Mr. Sheets, funeral director. Interment was at the Lowell cemetery. Mrs. Merle Sanger and Mrs. Grace McCarty sang accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Forest Griesel. Pallbearers were: Frank Patz, Vernon Falk, Bud Clark, Wesley Hayden, Hughe Hayden and Virgil Sanger.
