Both are confined at St, Margaret's hospital in Hammond. Mrs. Erb is in good condition today and is expected to be released. Mrs. Molsberger is showing improvement now from serious chest injuries, multiple rib fractures and possible head injuries.
Deputy Sheriff Robert Mattingly said Mrs. Erb's car, headed south on the Monastery road, apparently was struck as it pulled across Route 8. Driver of the other car was Clarence Gauthier, 57, of Crown Point, a salesman. He was not hospitalized.
Mrs. Erb said she has stopped for a stop sign at the intersection, but neither driver could tell exactly what happened.
