Fred Ebert heard the call of the Master and became a member of the Pine Grove Christian church some thirty-five years ago; later his membership was moved to Lowell, Ind., and he was a member there until his going from us, July 12, 1929, at the age of 55 years, 6 months and 19 days.
In the year 1916, September 9, Mr. Ebert was united in marriage to May M. Baund, of Chicago, Ill., and to this union five children were born, one son and four daughters.
Mr. Ebert leaves to mourn his going, a loving companion, one son, Earl, age 10; four daughters, Julia J., 11 years, Martha, 8 years, Opal, 6 years, Mildred, 5 years; four brothers, Ed and Arthur Ebert, of Lowell, Henry Ebert, of Glendale, California, Melvin Ebert, of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Moore, Glendale, California; Mrs. Madeline Huebsch, of Lowell; Mrs. Orpha Whiting, of Whiting, Ind. Besides these mentioned he leaves many other relatives and friends who will miss him.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 1 p.m. Sunday, and were attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives, neighbors and friends who gathered to pay their last respects to a man they had loved and respected. Rev. V.V. Hackley, pastor of the M.E. church, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Orchard Grove cemetery in charge of Undertakers Weaver and Son.
