Mrs. Conners was born and reared in Lowell, but had lived in Hammond many years, and had operated a restaurant there. Mr. Conners was native of Savannah, Ill. He was a long time employee of the Norwalk Truck Line Co. in Hammond. The couple resided at 2713 163rd Place, Hammond.
Mr. Conners is survived by a brother, Lee, of Oklahoma. Mrs.Conner's survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Linda Atwood of Foley, Ala., Mrs. Minnie Hadders of Lowell, Mrs. Grace Kingery and Mrs. Flora Baxter of Hammond, also nieces, nephews and other relatives in this community.
Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, in the Sheets Funeral home, with Rev. Eastwood of Hammond, officiating, and they were laid to rest in the Lowell cemetery.
