Rev. Walter Coburn of Boone Grove, Named Rural Minister of 1956

The Rev. Walter H. Coburn, pastor of the Boone Grove Christian church, was selected Rural Minister of the Year among Christian church ministers in Indiana.

The selection was made by a committee from various districts of the state.

The award will be made Sunday at 2p.m. at the Boone Grove church. It will be presented by Stanley Reading, of Buckeye Church, Huntington, chairman of the Town and Country Church Commission under the Indiana Christian Missionary Association.

Active in community work, Coburn is an officer in the Boone Grove PTA, master of the South County Grange 2390, chaplain of Indian Trail Pomona Grange, and also represents the state grange on the Town and County church committee of the Indian Council of Churches.
