He was getting along nicely, but pneumonia set in and in his weakened condition he soon passed away.
Funeral services will be held in Gary today. Interment will be made in Gary. Obituary next week.
He moved to Hobart in 1900 and resided there until 1908, when he moved to Lowell, where he was united in marriage to Miss Leslie Trump on December 16, 1908. They moved to Gary in 1911, where he was employed on the city fire department. He was promoted to Lieutenant April 1, 1914, and served as captain from January 1, 1914 until June 1, 1918, at which time he left the fire department and began working for the E.J. & E. railroad.
Harry had many warm friends in Lowell who regretted to hear of the accident that cost him his life. He leaves to mourn him, his widow, Mrs. Leslie Chase, one son, Grant Chase, one daughter, Alice Chase, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Chase, three brothers, Delos, Harold and Claude Chase, and two sisters, Mrs. Nelson Sturtridge and Mrs. Porter Mayhew.
Funeral services were held at the Willims chapel in Gary Thursday, February 5th, at 11 o'clock a.m. Burial was made in Gary.
