The bride wore a dress of ivory canton crepe with slippers to match and carried a bouquet of pink and white sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Myrtle Chapman, sister of the groom, wore a dress of pink crepe de chine. Amasa Kennedy, brother of the bride, acting as best man.
Miss Hilma Johnson sang "I Love You Truly" and was accompanied by Miss Hallie Kennedy.
Miss Myrtle Kelsen played the wedding march as the bride entered the room on the arm of her father, who gave her away, where she met the groom under the wedding bells where Rev. W.G. Crook very ably performed the ceremony which united this popular young couple.
A two course luncheon was served after which the couple prepared to leave for a short honeymoon in New York. Many friends assisted them in their departure who wished them much happiness.
Mrs. Chapman is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Kennedy of this city. She is a graduate of Momence high school and Brown's Business College of Kankakee. She is employed as stenographer by the Whole Grain Wheat co.
Mr. Chapman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Chapman, also of this city, a young man of sterling qualities. He is employed as an operator on the N.Y.C.R.R. They will be at home to their friends in this city after February 24.
