The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
CEIGA - JONES
Married, in Whiting at the home of the groom's brother Ed. Ceiga, Saturday, Dec. 1, 1906, Charles Ceiga and Miss Bertha Jones. They are both very highly respected young people of Lowell and well liked by their many acquaintances. They will reside in Whiting. We join their many friends in wishing them a long life of happiness and prosperity.
The following July 24, 1924, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 4:
CHARLES CEIGA MARRIED
Charles Ceiga and Miss Pearl Runnels, of Indiana Harbor, were united in marriage Tuesday, July 5th. The groom is a son of Vincent Ceiga and is [a] former Lowell boy. His many friends here at his old home extend congratulations and best wishes. The bride and groom visited relatives here Friday and Saturday.
