The following obituary from an unknown source was found in Lowell Public Library clipping files (LH--Vital Statistics, vol. 2, page 30):
Mildred M. Berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter A. Berg, was born in Lowell September 25, 1916 and passed away October 18, 1918, at the age of 2 years and 28 days. She was a very bright child and was the pride of the family, She was attacked with influenza and later complications set in that sapped her life away.
Rev. Charles Scholl, of St. Edward’s Catholic church conducted a short prayer service at the home Sunday afternoon. Interment in St. Edward’s cemetery. She leaves to mourn her, parents, one brother and four sisters.
