DEATH OF MRS. JOHN BANSER
One of the sad deaths of the year in Crown Point occurred at Mercy hospital in Gary Friday when Mrs. John Banser passed away after an illness of several months, followed by a major operation which failed to save her life. The deceased was one of Crown Point's most respected mothers and her untimely death casts a shadow of sorrow over her large circle of friends. The deceased was born near Lowell on March 8, 1885, and was aged 43 years, 3 months and 23 days. She united with the Christian church while living at Anderson in 1900 and was a faithful member of the local congregation. She was united in marriage with John Banser in 1905., and was the mother of six children, of whom one daughter, Mrs. Charles Kaiser, is married. Five sons, Harleen, Glenn, Lawrence, John and Richard, are bereft of a mother's care and love at a time in their lives when this tender love is most needed.
She leaves four sisters, Mrs. Michael Banser, of Crown Point; Mrs. M. Arbuckle, of Belvidere, Ill; Mrs. P.S. Stewart, of Maywood, Ill; and Mrs. Johnson, of Seattle, Wash., and one grand son, Charles Peter Kaiser.
The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon, and burial took place at the Sanders cemetery southwest of Lowell.

The deceased before her marriage was Miss Etta Dood and was well known here where she was born and raised. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement.
